It was a day for celebration for 14 year old Joshua Yates. Joshua successfully passed his 1st Dan Black Belt in Muay Thai Boxing.
Since Joining the Academy at the tender age of 6 Joshua has trained every week and has been determined to achieve this coveted Black Belt. During his grade he performed many challenging drills. Pad work, sparring, stamina tests including 250 kicks and 250 knees. he also had to demonstrate coaching a class through a warm up and much more.
Chief Instructor Rob Lock comments “Joshua is one of the fine examples of ‘a never give up mentality’. His enthusiasm and excellent etiquette he has shown over the years makes it even more enjoyable to award Josh his Black Belt”
